TAT Explanations
Introduction
It is important to remember that you are more than a Personality Type.
You are a unique individual as is everybody else.
For the Ikigai process we look at Personality Type for two reasons:
- Know Ourselves - Self-awareness is critical as a foundation for happiness and success.
- Meaningful Relationships – Knowing ourselves and other people’s Personality Type lets us understand how we impact on others and how to build bonds with others for a happy life.
Encourage your friends and family to complete the Personality Questionnaire.
Its free and a lot of fun finding out how people tick.
This explanation is a short summary of Personality Types and it is helpful to do more research on Personality types on the internet and useful videos on digital formats such as YouTube.
It is best to choose a coach from our Coach Network that will guide you through your Personality Type.
They will highlight your specific scores, strengths and development areas for a thorough understanding of yourself as an individual and how you interact with others.
Personality Theory
The Personality theory that underlines our approach goes back to a psychologist, Jung, who argued that there were a range of personality types.
Later Myers and Briggs further developed Jung’s approach and created four aspects and 16 personality types.
Some personality tests look at a fifth type related to identity.
Our Personality App is NOT the official version of MBTI or any other test.
It is an interpretation of Jung’s approach to personality types.
Also, we do NOT align careers directly to MBTI types.
The Personality TAT is meant to help you with self-discovery and help in understanding others.
